Lightweight but robust trilaminate suit designed for use by divers to whom contaminated water is not an issue, but strength and puncture resistance is a must. VIKING™ VTS is in use worldwide with not only sports and technical divers, but also special forces, police dive teams and fire & rescue squads.

Three material options are available as follows:

255 g/mNylon outer / Butyl rubber / Nylon inner.
Lightweight with high abrasion and puncture resistance.

450 g/m2 Cordura outer / Butyl rubber / Polyester inner.
Light and strong. Good puncture and abrasion resistance.

400 g/m2 Polyester outer / Butyl rubber / Polyester inner.
Softer warmer feel than nylon. Good puncture and abrasion resistance.

SEAMS

External: Stitched.
Internal: Chemically treated with an uncured rubber tape applied by heat and pressure

Finally the suit is placed inside a vulcaniser, whereby the rubber tape is cured by heat and pressure into the material itself. This is a unique process known as “Vulca Seam Technology”.

REINFORCEMENTS

The VIKING™ VTS materials are inherently abrasion and puncture resistant. Soft, flexible and hard-wearing knee pads are fitted as standard.

ZIPPER

Front entry: Medium Duty (MD) non-magnetic; 85 or 90 cm long; placed diagonally across the upper body.
Rear entry: Medium Duty (MD) non-magnetic; 90 cm long; placed across the shoulders.

The zipper is covered by a flap.

ZIPPER OPTIONS
Heavy Duty (HD) zipper, 90 cm long (Rear entry suits only); Relief zipper.

VALVES

Standard configuration, mounted on rubber backing discs:

  • Push protected inlet valve, positioned centrally on the chest
  • Hose: 80 cm long, CEJN fitting
  • Low Profile adjustable exhaust valve, on the upper left arm

ALTERNATIVE VALVE OPTIONS:
Non-magnetic inlet valves; Apeks inlet valves; Non-magnetic hoses.
Non-magnetic exhaust valves; Apeks exhaust valves.

NECKSEAL

Surveyor latex neck seal as standard.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
Bellows latex neck seal; Neoprene neck seal; Neoprene neck warmer in combination with latex neck seal. 
The suit may also be fitted with the VIKING™ Quick Neck system, which allows for quick changing of broken seals.

HOOD OPTIONS

VIKING™ VTS suits may be fitted with a wide range of hood options as follows:
Surveyor latex hood + thermal inner hood; Nautic neoprene hood with smooth face seal; Smoothskin hood.

CUFFS 

Latex conical cuffs are standard.

CUFF OPTIONS:
PRO latex cuffs or Bellows latex cuffs.

GLOVE RING OPTIONS:
In order to make the suit completely waterproof, it is possible to fit a rubber cuff ring system with fixed external rubber ring, and loose stiff plastic ring which holds the latex seal in place.

The alternative is a plastic bayonet glove ring system with a plastic ring mounted on the sleeve, and a replaceable cuff held in place with a plastic ring.

Both systems make the fitment of  Latex gloves possible.

FOOTWEAR

Rubber coated 5 mm neoprene boots. The boots feature a non-slip outsole and a heel fin retainer.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
Latex socks or VSN material socks (for use with overboots).
