Trelleborg Protective Products AB is pleased to announce that the world’s largest Fire Department, Tokyo Fire Department, has recently updated their Level A Chemical Protective Clothing to Trellchem EVO. Since its introduction in 2010, the Trellchem EVO has been continuously recognized as the most protective Level A Ensemble available, and along with the other Trellchem suit styles of VPS-Flash, VPS & NEO, Trelleborg Protective Products has established the most complete line of NFPA 1991 & EN 943-2 certified products ever.
Trellchem EVO suit is a very unique product with numerous 1st-in-class characteristics have been incorporated. Unique features such as a continuous-welded inner chemical barrier (so there is no “break” in the protection), 24 hour chemical permeation resistance, Trellchem ventilation & the only “45-Second Glove Change” system are all available as standard with this suit. Additionally, the Trellchem EVO passes a vast array of tests & certifications, including NFPA 1991:2005 (including chemical flash fire & liquefied gas certifications), EN 943-2:2002, ATEX (explosive atmospheres Zone 0, Class IIC), EN-1149-5 (antistatic material), EN 14126 (protection against bio-hazards / infective agents) and EN 1073-2 (protection against radioactive particles).
In addition to Tokyo Fire Department, Trellchem suits are used all around the globe through departments such as Fire Department of New York City (FDNY), Hamburg Fire Department (Germany), Moscow Fire Department, and Singapore Civil Defence Force. Trellchem suits have also been selected as the only Level A ensemble used at the UEFA EURO 2012 Championships held this year.
